Las Vegas recently hosted the illustrious CosmoProf North America 2024, an event that drew more than 20,000 visitors and 1,100 exhibitors to The Mandalay Bay. This vibrant showcase of innovation and beauty trends highlighted the latest advancements in the cosmetics industry, with both well-known and emerging brands vying for attention on the bustling exhibition floor.
Among the notable participants were B.Kolor and Fiabila, two of Europe’s leading contract manufacturers for color cosmetics and nail products. Their presence underscored the international scope of the event, which also attracted major digital players like TikTok. The social media giant was on hand to promote its TikTokShop program, aiming to educate brands about leveraging its platform for e-commerce. Additionally, third-party certifiers such as NSF International made an appearance, ensuring that products met the highest standards of quality and safety.
However, the spotlight was not solely on established entities. A significant portion of the booths belonged to brands seeking to boost their visibility and forge new partnerships with distributors and buyers. The event culminated in the highly anticipated Cosmoprof and Cosmopack award ceremonies, recognizing the crème de la crème of the cosmetics world. Other winners included Never Have I Ever for Make Up & Nail Products, awarded for their Art-Licensed Press-On Nails, which offer “salon-quality looks in minutes.” In the Green & Organic category, Le Rouge Français was recognized for its Le Rouge Alizarine, a vegetal-colored lipstick encased in a refillable, castor-oil-made case, emphasizing sustainability and eco-friendly practices.
In the Cosmopack North America 2024 Awards, Solésence Beauty Science took home the prize for Formulation with their Lip Oil SPF 40+ featuring Kleair, available in 12 shades. Meanwhile, Coradin S.A.S. won in the Packaging: Design & Materials category for their Greenis Dispenser for Dermalogica, a dropper designed with recyclability in mind.
